Bringing the Holiday Cheer

Bringing the Holiday Cheer

On Friday, December 22, something amazing happened. It was the last week of finals, and many, did not have finals, or not very difficult finals 6th, 7th, or 8th hour. So, many students, decided to do what the could to get into Holiday cheer. Multiple classmate run and funded Holiday parties took place.

But the most amazing, even ridiculous, was the fact that someone actually Wrapped his car, with his friends, with Holiday wrapping paper. If that was not enough, he then proceeded to come to school, dressed as the Great Saint Nicholas, better known as Santa Claus! That person was Enrique Diaz.

Upon asking Diaz (2018) what gave him the idea to come to school dressed as Santa Claus, He replied, “Why the heck not?” And that was exactly the point, to be random.

Later on, Enrique and the Technical Theater 3 class, with another student in a reindeer onesie, proceeded to parade around the halls of Holt passing out cookies to the Teachers. It was amazing, and sometimes particularly hilarious, seeing all the different faces and responses the different teachers had to these events. Some teachers even appeared to look annoyed at the ridiculousness that was unfolding.

In reflection, It is astonishing the amount of Holiday Spirit Holt High School has, and the things that the students do when the Holidays roll around. Multiple Holiday parties, held after the completion of finals, accurred around Holt between Thursday and Friday, and the holiday spirit most definitely showed.
