New Years Resolution

“New year, new me!”

You have probably heard that phrase from so many people each new year. It can get quite annoying sometimes because most people do not actually change their old ways. Only 8% of people actually keep up with their resolutions. So why do so many of us fail our New Year’s resolution each year?

Whether it is to save money, lose weight or make more time for family and friends, all resolutions can be set and accomplished. The first thing you can do to achieve your resolution is to keep your resolution realistic. Set a goal that you think you can achieve by the end of the new year. Keep your resolution nice and simple. Do not make some crazy resolution that you know will be too hard to accomplish.

To also help yourself with achieving your resolution, you can tell your family and friends about it. Not only can your family and friends motivate you, but they can also be a daily reminder to keep going and to not give up!

It also helps to make smaller goals to your resolution. For example, if you are wanting to lose weight, set a goal to cut your sugar intake or keep a dietary journal to write about what you ate and encouragement about yourself.

Lastly, do not give up! Stay positive about achieving your goal! Take it one day at a time and do not let one little mistake, keep you from accomplishing your resolution!
