With Little Shop of Horrors coming to Holt for their Fall play the Tech Theatre three class is coming in
with strides. Theatre Director Nathan Spaugh decided this would be the Fall play last March.
Head of House Cynthia Tresner(‘24) is back for her third year before graduating. Being Head of House Tresner is in charge of ticket sales, concessions, putting up flyers, and instructing younger students how to become Head of House.
“I really love the community. I’m glad that I can surround myself with good people,” said Tresner.
Actor Jaylen Munoz(‘24) has been acting and singing for a year. Tuck Everlasting was his first ever play at Holt.
“Both tech theater and acting are creative outlets that help me express myself to those around me,” said Munoz.
Spaugh has been working at Holt for 10 years, currently going 11. Having gotten into teaching through wanting to share his passion with the younger generations he has been directing for 3 productions. Little Shop of Horrors will be his fourth.
“What makes me enjoy my job the most is where you can see the students’ creative potential come out,” said Spaugh, “I love watching them create something better than I could even imagine.”
Lots of student involved in the plays are also taking part in tech theater so that they can understand the set and the most important parts.
