With all of the problems that are facing America at the moment, whether it is racial, economic or political, another issue is needed about as much as a hole in your head. However, since our country has superb luck, it is only natural that we are facing another problem: clowns.

No, not the funny clowns you see at circuses, driving small cars and squirting water flowers in peoples’ faces. These clowns are a little more violent and their reign is ever growing. This craze started in South Carolina at the beginning of September and has since then spread all over the country. While most of the claims have been discredited to hoaxes, there have been incidents that are more than real.

There have been true sightings of clowns chasing or following women and children into forests, stalking people and even jumping out in front of cars. Along with many other actions, there is plenty of reason why people, even in power, are on edge or overly willing to take action.

Some people in power are calling out and saying that different events will be cancelled if these clowns are not stopped for people’s safety, and schools have been closed for a few days after a bad attack as well. Even the political leaders are handing power over to the FBI to deal with these fiends. There have been fearless people; there was a huge group of students from Pennsylvania State University who went on a huge clown hunt after rumors arose that there might be one around.

Nobody is quite sure as to why people are doing this. Is it thrills, anger, rebellion? Nobody knows for sure, but they do know this: these clowns are getting seriously creepy.
