Homecoming Has Arrived

Come celebrate Homecoming by going to Holt’s 2016 Homecoming Parade. The parade will occur October 1, starting at 9:30 a.m.. Later that day, Homecoming will begin at 8:00 p.m. and end at 11:00 p.m. The parade will commence outside in the Holt parking lot, ending at Pete’s Drive In.

Come see the floats anywhere along the parade route. The Thespians are teaming up with Timberland and Liberty for their float. Mrs. Krug and Mrs. Voss are leading the FCCLA float.

The Homecoming royalty are very excited. “It’s nerve racking! I’m excited they chose me, but it’s definitely scary! I’m for it though,” said Freshman Homecoming Princess Sydney Kile (’20).

Many students were baffled by the ballad and the winners. “I was kind of confused and excited at the same time,” said Noah Crawford (’20), one of the runner-ups for Freshman Prince.  “I was surprised.  I really did want to win.”

After the parade, the Homecoming Dance will be that evening from 8:00-11:00.  During Homecoming week, tickets go for $18.00 per ticket, but September 30 they are $20.00.

Do not miss out on all of the Homecoming festivities and be sure to purchase a yearbook so those Homecoming memories last a lifetime.
