Eyes dart back and forth following the neon colored ball as Holt Girl’s tennis players compete in the Tennis Sectionals. The girls have worked hard this year to compete in this event. Their coach Mr. Bowling has been working hard to prepare them for their competition. “I love Mr. Bowling. He’s awesome” says Callie Ortell (17’).

Three girls advanced to sectionals.The competitors were Callie, Savannah Sneed, and Claire Chambers, all seniors. Claire and Callie competed in a pairs match. “Me and my partner had really good teamwork, We stayed positive” says Chambers.

Savannah says even though they didn’t advance, they still have fun. She told us “I play it with my two best friends and I love my coach”.

“We got destroyed but it was a positive experience. It was a learning experience.” said Claire.

The girls maintain that it was a pleasure just to go and that they had lots of fun throughout the season. Kristen Vogt
