Eyes dart back and forth following the neon colored ball as Holt Girl’s tennis players compete in the Tennis Sectionals. The girls have worked hard this year to compete in this event. Their coach Mr. Boling has been working hard to prepare them for their competition. “I love Mr. Boling. He’s awesome” said Callie Ortell (17’).

Three girls advanced to sectionals.The competitors were Callie, Savannah Sneed and Claire Chambers, all seniors. Claire and Callie competed in a pairs match. “Me and my partner had really good teamwork; we stayed positive,” said Chambers.

Savannah said even though they did not advance, they still had fun.  “I play it with my two best friends and I love my coach”.

“We got destroyed, but it was a positive experience. It was a learning experience,” said Claire.

The girls maintain that it was a pleasure just to go and that they had lots of fun throughout the season.
