School spirit has always been something that Holt High School both excelled and struggled with. While the students have taken pride in our accomplishments both academically and athletically, they as a whole seem to say negative things about us when compared to our district-mates. However our school has no need to think so negatively.

According to Niche.com, a website based around the schools of Missouri, Holt High School is one of the top fifty best high schools in the state. Placing above Timberland and Liberty, this is most definitely something for which we can all have pride. Our district is ranked in the top 13% of all schools in Missouri. Gaining these rankings from state test scores, college readiness, and SAT/ACT scores, combined with graduation rates, public school district ratings and teacher quality, this is a really important recognition.

While this building might be old and well worn, it is packed to the brim with students who have incredible aspects, and now others are acknowledging it as well. It is something that is very important to remember; after all, the school, the body, the Indians are the people who roam the halls, the ones with love deep down in their hearts.
