Super Bowl Ready
The Super Bowl. The most important game of the year, with the biggest stage to perform, the biggest title to hold.
For the 51 Super Bowl the NFC Champions, Atlanta Falcons face off against the AFC Champions, New England Patriots to determine the ultimate winner of the NFL.
Neither of the teams’ wins were close. Atlanta defeated the Green Bay Packers 44-21 in a complete shutout of Aaron Rodgers. The Patriots defense stood tall defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers 36-17.
It is no surprise that these two teams overcame the others to reach this point. Each have an equally outstanding quarterback: New England with the infamous Tom Brady and Atlanta with the emerging Matt Ryan.
The quarterbacks are back to back in the suggested NFL MVP race, with Brady leading Ryan by just points.
Brady has arguably been seen as the best quarterback in the NFL for years now. This year is no different. After missing the first four games of the regular season due to suspension, Brady has lead the Patriots to a 10-1 record with a total of 25 touchdowns and only two interceptions.
On the contrary, Ryan has played all season for the Falcons and lead the team to an 11-5 record. Ryan was able to drive the Falcons into the playoffs even as their defense struggled with 34 touchdowns and seven interceptions.
Brady and the Patriots have been the leading team in the AFC Conference for quite some time. Since 2000, New England have been AFC Champions seven times. Historically, the Patriots have been to the Super Bowl a total of nine times, Brady leading them to victory four of those games just recently.
The Patriots have always been good, whereas the Falcons just recently emerged as a strong team. This year marks just the second time the Falcons will go to the Super Bowl game in their history. The 1999 Falcons team lost to the Denver Broncos. This year, Atlanta hopes to avoid the same fate and defeat New England.
The game is set and the teams are ready. All that’s left is to grab some friends and food and settle down on Sunday, February 5 for the game of the year.
