Holt’s Student Council has a new event in the making. In efforts to raise money and supplies for Wentzville’s Crisis Nursery, the three high schools in the district, Holt, Liberty and Timberland, will come together for one sporting event this Spring.

The student councils of the three schools are hosting a kickball tournament for teacher teams from the three schools to compete in.

With this being a brand-new, first-time-ever event, the key to its success is participation. A teacher team is being made here at Holt, and students can expect to see many advertisements for the event.

The fundraising will start with penny wars between the three schools in a battle for the home field advantage. The buckets will be found at lunch later on in March.

Student Council’s goal for this event is to instill excitement in the student body, increase the bond and support between teachers and students and to raise money for the Crisis Nursery.
