Yuda Bands

Yuda Bands are quickly taking over Holt High School, and students are encouraged to not miss out on this trend. Cute, cheap and for a good cause, Yuda Bands are something that every student at Holt should own.

Yuda Bands are handmade, Guatemalan bracelets that depict many different symbols, words and shapes, carved from coconut, on a leather band. They are offered in different colors, and can be seen ornamenting all kinds of student’s arms.

The best part of this Yuda Band project is that it is for a good cause. All proceeds are donated to a young boy named Kennedy in Africa. Kennedy is 14 and lives in Zimbabwe. The money raised will help pay for his school fees so he can continue his education and become a doctor.

StuCo was lucky enough to Skype with Kennedy through the Yuda Band organization, and it is clear that what Holt is doing by buying and selling these bands is truly impacting his life.

Yuda Bands will be sold until the 17, and Holt students are encouraged not to miss out on this opportunity.
