Seventh-grader shoots self at Ohio Middle School
Jackson local schools in Ohio went on lock down after seventh grade shoots himself in a school bathroom. The student shot himself at approximately 7:50 a.m. Investigators say no other students have been hurt and they are unsure if the shooting was intentional.
A school official says the student is being treated at a hospital. Parents rushed to Jackson Middle School to pick up their children after the school sent out a notice about the shooting.
School Superintendent Christopher Diloreto said the school is still considering whether there will be classes Wednesday. Authorities and school officials say they do not know whether or not the student was alone and have not released any other statements.
