Package Bombs
A series of deadly packages have been delivered to homes in Austin, Texas. These deadly packages explode when they are handled with.
On March 2, the first bomb was delivered and killed a 39 year old male. Monday, March 12, two more packages were delivered to homes. The first of the explosions on Monday, killed a 17 year old male teen and wounded a 40 year old women.
Not long after the first package went off, police were called to another home with another explosion, only a few miles away from the first bomb. Authorities suspect that all three of these package bombs are linked together. The motive to these bombings is unclear, but the police urge you to call if you have any unexpected packages at your door. Information will be provided if anything changes.
UPDATE
On Sunday night, two men in their 20s were seriously injured when they were walking and set off a tripwire. After the fourth explosion, police received more than 500 leads and raised their reward to $115,000.
The fifth bomb explosion was at a FedEx facility on a conveyer belt at one in the morning. One worker was affected with minor injuries. Police think that this explosion is linked to the other package bombings in Austin.
Wednesday March 21, a suspect in the package bombing case, had blown himself up in his vehicle after police chased him from a hotel. The suspect was a white 24 year old male. It is still unknown to what his motives were.
