Junior Varsity Indianline Memorable Moments
Most high school kids live for the funny, loving and kind of ridiculous moments of life. If you have ever been a part of a team you know that there are a lot of laughs. Captain Victoria Lubeuke (’20), dancer Alyson Evans (’22), and Dancer Trinity Harris (’22) can agree that the Junior Varsity Indianline team has a lot of fun times.
On August 16 they went to Tantara Resorts for their UDA dance camp. “We are definitely a bonded team and we have a lot of laughs. It’s important that all of us are bonded in some sort of way so that we can support each other on the floor,” said Tori Lubeuke (‘20).
“I think that goofiest person on the team would either be Chloe or Trinity. At camp Chloe accidentally choked on an ice cube. She had to dance with an ice cube melting in her throat all day, but the funny part is that she did this multiple times throughout camp,” said Aly Evans (‘22).
During camp, the team learned one dance together and the girls learned A and B routines on their own. They performed all three at the end of camp. There were also All American Tryout where six of the girls on the team got up early and worked on a dance that they would tryout with. The three girls on the JV team who made All American are Trinity Harris, Tori Lubeuke and Lydia Strasser.
“The best part of this team is that every single girl on this team wants to be here. Every single one of them has the drive to focus and get down to business when they need to but also can relax and have fun,” said Captain Tori Lubeuke. The team got the highest level of scoring, which is superior. You might think that dance is easy but these girls are living proof that you have to put in the same amount of work if not more than any other sport. The team gets up at around 4:30 to get to the school at 5:20 for morning practice. Only half way through their season they have learned seven dances and are in the process of learning three more.
“My teammates are the most focused and amazing group of people I have met. We are always there for eachother and even if your having a bad day our safe place is at dance. Dance is something that has brought all of us 12 girls together as one,” said Dancer Aly Evans.
The Junior Varsity Dance Team is a very tight organization. These girls have been working hard for seven months. They have accomplished many great things and made memorable moments along the way. These girls have put in so much work and have improved so much, it is a shame that they go unrecognized. The skills that these girls have in their toolbox is outstanding. If you want to show your support for them they will be performing at the home basketbafirst one is on December 3rd.

I like how to put a good amount of detail and only had the important facts.
