Holt Alumni Panel
On Friday, January 4 Holt High School held its annual Alumni Panel where graduates from Holt come back and speak to current Holt attendees about many different kinds of topics related to college living. Students could go to different Alumni and ask questions regarding scholarships, fraternities, dorm room living and many other things regarding the transition from home to college.
“It was fun going back to High School again after a few months, even though when I was about to graduate I couldn’t wait to leave. I got to see a lot of my younger friends from high school, and I was glad I got to answer questions that students asked,” said Maggie Poronto.
Visiting Alumni came from many different college backgrounds to give a variety of experience and answers to Holt High Schoolers. Students from Southeast Missouri State, Truman University, St. Charles Community College and even out of state schools to show all of the possible paths after high school. Many of the Alumni had financial aid, competitive scholarships, non-competitive scholarships and other forms of paying for college to help give Holts students a good scope of all the possible ways to make their way through college.
Holt would like to thank all of the Alumni that came to Holt to help its students.
