Wentzvilles MLK Jr. Unity Walk will be held on January 21st, 2019 at 10am starting at Pearce Hall.

     Along with the walk is the 14th annual Martin Luther King Community Celebration Event which will be held at Holt High School on January 18th, 2019 at 7pm.  As part of this year’s MLK Jr. celebration 3 scholarships with a minimum value of $500, one each in the areas of writing, art, and leadership will be awarded to seniors from either of the Wentzville High schools.  The winner of these scholarships will be decided by submission into 3 different contests, a essay writing contest for the writing award, an artistic expression contest where students can submit an original work of art that they believe best represent MLK Jr. and his impact on our country and society, for the art scholarship, and finally the Community and School Leadership where Students may submit a resume and explanation of how their school and community leadership activities have supported or promoted the ideas of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. here in Wentzville.
