Gearing Up For Winter
As the season changes it’s important to gear up and get ready for the coming winter. Whether you haven’t put up your Christmas lights just yet. Or you’ve had them up since the start of November.
Winter is one season not to miss out on. Since school is now going all virtual, it’s time to cozy up and gear up for the cold. As temperatures drop and continue to drop, it’s long last to start pulling out that winter gear that’s been shoved in the back of the closet.
It’s important to remember that it’s better to be warm than cold, especially come winter time. Because I know we’re all looking forward to doing those fun winter activities. Whether ice skating, sledding, shoveling snow, or even a lively snowball fight, it’s important to wear your layers as well as some comfy gloves and hats.
Now what better way to gear up for winter than putting up decorations. From the tree to lights, it’s always an enjoyable experience.
“Putting up my christmas tree is my favorite part of decorating. I love waking up and seeing it in the morning,”Greg Mose (21’) said.
Not only are the decorations enjoyable to look at, but our favorite christmas movies are too. Whether the classic Home Alone or The Grinch, it’s without a doubt many people’s favorite part about the wintertime.
“Me and my family love watching christmas movies together. My mom makes cookies and we most likely will watch Home Alone about 10 times,” Morgan Dunn (21’) said.
Nevertheless, something about the wintertime just seems so warm and fun. As kids we always remember wintertime as just christmas. However now it’s important not only to think about the gift giving, but the season as a whole. Because wintertime is the most wonderful time of the year, and missing it would be a crime.
