Feline Feast

Feline Feast

In 1998, the very first cat cafe opened in Taiwan. It became very popular with tourists, and now has spread throughout the world. It has slowly made its way to the United States, and St. Louis has finally got it’s very first cat cafe. The restaurant is named Mauhaus and recently opened on November 12 in Maplewood.

There are two sides to the restaurant. One side is the restaurant and the other is a cozy space where you can enjoy the company of adoptable cats through Tenth Life Cat Rescue.

The cat room includes shelves, tunnels, and trees that allow the cats to hide or stay entertained.

The food is not like any other cafe’s. They pull inspiration from all around the world. You can order Vietnamese iced coffee, Indian samosas, Mexican arepas, and much more.

Walk-ins for the cafe are allowed, but the owners recommend getting reservations to cut the wait time.

The restaurant is intended for customers to slow down and de-stress from a busy life.
