Meet Mr. Myers

Every school year brings new teachers and new students. Many times we can get to know the student sitting next to us, but we don’t know very much about the person teaching.

This year, we have many new teachers who are excited to be a part of Holt and its students. Mr. Myers is one of those teachers. “I chose my major of becoming a teacher because I really enjoy working with high school students and I wanted a job where I would be on my feet every day,” said Mr. Myers. Along the journey of discovering what he was going to do, Mr. Myers did consider other options. Looking back he remembers, “In college, I changed my major three or four times. Before my last switch to education, I was a finance major.” said Myers. Finally, he decided that being among students and teaching them was something he was passionate about. Out of all the schools in Missouri, Mr. Myers chose Holt High School.  Taking this into consideration, Mr. Myers thought of Holt. “Before applying, I heard Holt was a great place to teach and had great tradition. I also like the location and size of Wentzville,” said Myers.
