There are many things we give speeches on. School, work, family reunions, among other things. Some of us aren’t proficient at it, while some are. Some are good at the writing portion, while some are good at the speaking portion. A small few people are gifted in both. There are many things one can do to improve on any of these things.

To being with the first portion, the setting. One must ask thyself, who is this audience the speech is being given for? Is it a attempt to persuade the audience, or are they already supportive of the subject? The best way in a persuasion speech, is to effectively gauge the audience, and cater to that.

Another way to effectively give a speech, is to effectively portray good stance. With good stance, one can appear confident to the audience. Confidence will leave a huge positive impact on one’s speech, and the audience will notice that.  

The third thing one can apply to give a great speech is to practice. With lots of practice, one may not need a script at all to follow for the speech. Even if one does not use a script anyways, one will be more familiar with the subject and know what to say in order to get one’s point through to the audience, and or persuade the audience at the same time.

From work, school, to family reunions, there are plenty of places that one may give a speech. With these tips, one could become more proficient at giving such things.
