New Tech for More Communication

Our school, has become more aware and more advanced in not just the way we learn, but the way we are informed. With new technology, such as the new TVs scrolling through announcements about anything from the school dances to the after school clubs, this year is the year for advanced technology to inform students.

Within three years, almost 80% of our education has changed, not in a bad way but for an improvement. After introducing Canvas just last year, about 90% of school teachers, now use it for assignments. With all this new gear coming in, it does have a purpose.

Administrators at Holt are enthusiastic about the changes and are very ardent about the move. “Schools in and out of the our area had TVs, so they planned to use building funds to buy them. The principal had a discretionary fund they wanted to use for the money,” Dr. Adams said.

Information is also a needed for schools to not only inform students and teachers about events, but to help support and grow clubs and activities. “It helps everyone be more aware of extracurricular activities and events happening,  like homecoming or ads for clubs, or even holidays and remembrance days. The biggest goal is to make staff and students more aware of activities and recognize cool things happening at holt,” Dr. Adams said.

With technology paving the way, we are out with the old and in with the new. These TVs are hoped to make an impression on the students and avoid the tireless question “When is……?”
