The flu season has come around again. But the flu is not the only thing to worry about not catching. The Covid-19 also known as the Wuhan virus has been spreading. It has also been spread around in the news which has spread many rumors too, like that there are a lot of cases of it in America. In reality, the CDC (Center for Disease Control) has only recorded 14 possible positive people in America with the coronavirus. The United States has even taken action with this by not letting foreign people in who have been to China in the past 14 days. They also have a way to see if Americans have the virus if they have been in China in the past 14 days.

No one knows what is the cause of the virus but it is most likely from bats because of it having a similar nature to disease like MERS-coV which is from bats.  The virus started in Wuhan, China where now there are over thousands of cases of it because of it person to person spreading of the virus. As of now, there have been 1,770 deaths worldwide, with most of them coming from China. China has taken action by completely closing off Wuhan. If people want to leave there is one place where they can leave and they have to have been checked by officials before they leave. Then they are given three hours to get whatever they need and have to wear a mask at all times when out. But if someone is showing any symptoms they can not leave and people will inform officers in the area.

A lot of protection has gone into keeping this virus at bay and scientists trying their best to find the vaccine or cure to it. But of course, even with all of this protection, it can still spread. To be safe from it, people just have to do the basic things that one would do with the flu but do it more often and mostly not go anywhere to infect anyone. There is no knowing when there will be a cure for it but for now, the protection they have is the best they can do.
