Since the recent effects of COVID-19, the U.S is under a nationwide quarantine. As an effect of this quarantine, many friendships have been torn and tested through these trying times. Missing our friends is one thing, but keeping that friendship alive is another.

Staying connected is going to be very important throughout this epidemic. Many friends and families are going through the ultimate test right now. Keeping up with your friends and family is one of the ultimate priorities through this quarantine. It’s easy to feel alone in the quarantine. Having friends and family gives everyone the validation that they are loved and liked.

As an effect of this quarantine that validation has gone down with the separation from our friends. So it is important that we stay connected during this time just to let our friends know that they are appreciated. Even just a small text or post can brighten the day of any friend.

It is not only important to check-in but to ask how they are doing. It is important as a good friend to make sure they are okay and feeling well. Overall it is just important to let them know they are not alone during this quarantine.

Students even at home find fun and creative ways to stay connected.

“My friends and I have been on facetime almost every day. We try to stay connected as much as possible. Quarantine stinks but at least we have facetime” Morgan Dunn (‘21) said.

Even when things don’t quite go as planned, students still find a way to manage and preserve.

In conclusion, friends are more important now than ever. Having friends brings so much joy and laughter into anyone’s day. Friends should be someone anyone can turn to during this quarantine. Staying connected is one thing that every student and teacher should make time for during this unexpected epidemic.
