In light of all that’s going on in the world right now, many singers have taken time out of their day to put on a mini concert in their living rooms for their fans. Entertainers did these concerts to serve as a source of unity and encouragement in the global fight to end COVID-19. They were doing it to honor and support the first responders and healthcare workers.

Entertainment venues, restaurants, sporting events, schools, and other social places where communities gather have been temporarily closed or faced with strict limitations, leaving many people at home alone, wondering what to do and how to cope.

And because of the coronavirus many singers and bands had to cancel their upcoming concerts which devastated their fans. In place of the canceled concerts, they aired special shows on television that were free, where many artists shared some heartfelt words and performed songs from their living rooms.

A few of the different shows were: ACM Presents: Our Country, which included Brad Paisley and Darius Rucker who did a duet over facetime and honored Kenny Rogers who sadly recently passed away. The special was thrown together in just three weeks, after it was announced that the Academy of Country Music Awards would be postponed until September due to coronavirus concerns.

One World: Together at home concert, that helped raise $127.9M in donations for COVID-19 Relief and for healthcare workers in their fight against the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to the singers, the One World: Together at home event also featured appearances by a number of actors and comedians who joined via livestream to reassure, plead and entertain.

Garth & Trisha Live, which features Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood who performed live from their home recording studio. They brought their unique blend of casual style, remarkable chemistry and shared love of music to their fans and viewers, emphasizing the message that ‘We’re all in this together’. Garth and Trisha are donating $1 million to coronavirus-related charities and relief efforts.

These special events have given people things to watch and do while bored at home. Many people have enjoyed these shows during this lockdown because it brought people closer together and brought joy and entertainment through these tough times of boredom and stress.

If you missed the shows, you can find and watch some clips from all of the different shows on YouTube.
