Fun Holiday challenges posted every day of December on the Tribe.

Hello, everyone! I have a little something fun for you all to do at home during this jolly month. I call it “Days of December”. Each day, I will post a new fun challenge to the list. If you complete all the challenges, then when we return in January, you will receive a prize! Let’s begin!

December 1: Take a photo of something festive that is red and green! Submit your photo to the linked folder.

December 2: Write a short story of at least 300 words that contains the words “snowflake”, “holly”, “candy cane”, and “peace”. Share your story to the linked folder.

December 3: Draw something using only white, silver, different shades of blue, and a wintery color of your choice. Submit a photo of your drawing to the linked folder.

December 4: Find a comfy spot in your home to curl up with your favorite book. Take a photo of you two, put it in a google doc, and then tell me why it’s your favorite book. Share your document to the linked folder. Idea courtesy of Brooklyn Johnson.

December 5: Make a list of 5 fun things you want for the holidays (provide a picture of each item) and tell me why you want them (in a Google doc). Share the doc with the linkedĀ folder.

December 6: Take a picture of your Christmas tree and then tell me what your favorite ornament is that is on your tree. Upload the picture to the linked folder.

December 7: Unscramble the follow 10 holiday words: “eratmonn”, “etempsr”, “tsiCrhmsa”, “lfasonwek”, “tSnna slCsaeu”, “nkkaaHku”, “eter”, “aepec”, “nieererd”, and “ltetesomi”. Put your answers in a doc and share it with the linked folder.

December 8: Write a haiku about a winter wonderland. Share it with the linked folder.

December 9: Take a picture of your favorite decoration to put out for the holidays. Share it with the linked folder.

December 10: What is the most unique holiday tradition your family has? Tell me about it in a google doc and then share it with the linked folder.

December 11: Make a playlist of 15 of your favorite holiday songs! Share it with the linked folder.

December 12: What light displays are in your area? Take a few pictures of them and share them with the linked folder.

December 13: A holiday inquiry: What does Christmas mean to you? If you don’t celebrate Christmas, what does your december holiday (Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, etc) mean to you?

December 14: Popular Debate: Is Die Hard a Christmas movie? Write your opinion in a google doc and share it with the linked folder.

 

 

 

December 15: Scavenger Hunt! The following groups of numbers are called ISBN codes;——-. Each code is unique to a product, which in this case are popular christmas gifts! Look up the codes and tell me what each item is! Share your results with the linked folder.
