Schroeder Creek Boulevard finally opened to the public on the 21st of December. This road opens up from the school parking lot to Pearce Boulevard all the way out to Wentzville Parkway. It can also be entered through the expansion of William Dierberg Drive.

The road opens and clears up a lot of the traffic after school lets out. This road has great potential to helping out the safety of drivers coming in and out of school and as the year goes on students will see the impact a small road has done to help them.

The road has really affected the traffic and driving of the students. “It allows people in the back parking lot to get out easier, plus it doesn’t have potholes like the rest of the roads,” said Sarah Broughton (‘19). Schroeder Creek is one of the few projects that the students specifically feel the impact. “Going home from school, it cut my time four minute,” said Matthew Trainor (‘18).

Even though the new road is a great improvement to the student parking, it still has a few tweaks that could be fixed. For the students who have a parking spots in the lower lot, the new road really does not help the people who need to get out of there quick.

“The busses block the road,” said Broughton. In the first ten minutes of school letting out, the busses block the student parking from Schroeder Creek.

“The downside is having the stop light and sometimes I get stopped,” said Trainor. Even though stoplights can be annoying, they are there for safety and order.

“It could use more greenery,” said Broughton. Since the road is new, the grass and shrubbery around the road is brown and dying. Half of it is due to being winter time. It will not be this ugly once spring and summer arrive.

Schroeder Creek Boulevard is a help to all drivers, may it be parents coming to drop kids off or students leaving.
