Principal’s Note

Spring is upon us and this season is the busiest time of year for most schools.  Our students are preparing for the end of the year and all it brings with it.

The ACT test given to all high school juniors in the state is April 19th.  That day will be dedicated to testing 9th grade (ASPIRE), 10th (Pre-ACT) and 11th grade taking the ACT.  Seniors do not have school April 19th.  Shortly after, students will be taking AP exams, EOC tests, TSA testing and semester exams.  This is on top of any extracurricular activities they may be involved in.

It is critical that students are in attendance and that they get plenty of sleep and a good breakfast.

Help our students stay focused and finish the year strong.  With only a short time left, it is easy to get distracted and lose track of our academic goals.  Seniors, it is most important for you as you end your time at Holt High School.  Graduation is right around the corner and we certainly don’t want to jeopardize that special day.

If you have any questions or needs, please feel free to contact your counselor or principal.

Sincerely,

Shane Schlueter
Principal
Holt High School
